Anchor of devotion
There was once a fisherman
a man of simplicity and charm
he spent his days at sea
travelling the islands he was free.
His name was Jenar
and used to navigate far
left a few treasures behind
for other sailors to find.
But a stormy night he lost his most precious possession
his beloved piece, the anchor of devotion
he had made it with his hands
every time he sailed with the wind he would dance
and when he reached a destination he would throw it to the sea
dedicating his time to that place he wish to be.
He was cautious and clever
fearless and brave
but now a lonely ghost
drifting in the ocean he felt lost.
When the horizon had swallowed the sun
between hunger and dehydration
the legend says he had a vision
some say it was just an illusion;
he heard a woman’s voice,
and like a spell, echoing trough the waves,
a hypnotic song, made him feel warm and well.
The woman rose from the surface,
her presence was strong,
She offered her hand
and something shined in the myst
his anchor had shrank
in the shape of a necklace she had brought it back.
It had engraved the sun and the moon
and the mysterious mermaid of the angelical tune
“no matter where you go,
mountains or the sea,
I hope this treasure brings you tranquility
to commit to your purpose and give you clarity.
The anchor of devotion
a reminder of your intention,
for the grace and the beauty
wherever is the place you choose to be.
